Parking Attendents Ministry
Serve once a month
PRAYER: Saturday @ 6:20pm / Sunday @ 8:50am
SHIFTS: Saturday – 6:30pm - 7:15pm / 8:20pm-8:45pm
Sunday – 9:00am – 9:45am / 10:50am-11:15am
POSTS: 1 in South Lot, 1 in North Lot, 1 to assist Handicap / Special Needs

DUTIES:
-Direct people to park in an efficient manner so that we can make the best use of our limited parking space

-Be friendly and helpful as you guide people into parking spaces

-Assist the elderly, handicapped or those with special needs (ie. wheelchairs, walkers and/or parents with young children).

-During rainy weather assist with umbrellas and allow people to be dropped off at the rear entrance.

-Answer various questions (learn the answers from the Parking Team Leader or direct people to the Information Center)

-It is crucial that we stay focused on our ministry and purpose when we serve; which is to be attentive and available to those who are visitors, or people who are in need of our assistance in any given moment

-Our attention must be on these people at all times. It is very tempting to allow ourselves to get caught up in conversation with friends, but this cannot happen during the times we are on duty.

-We must visit with people after our shift.

-It is crucial for us to arrive on time and be reliable.

-You will arrange for an alternate if needed and confirm this with your team leader.

-Please do not rely on a sent email or voice message as a means of confirmation for your replacement. We cannot afford to be short staffed because of communication glitches.

-Call or email until you get a response that confirms that your replacement will fill in for you. The BEST confirmation is to speak with that person verbally.
