DUTIES:
Saturday: Plug-in white power strip located in the drawer behind the coffee bar to green power cord located on the floor behind the coffee bar. Fill the white electric water pot located under the coffee bar to the fill line with water, and plug into the white power strip.

After the water has boiled in the white electric water pot unplug it. (this water is used for tea & hot cocoa)
Make 40 cups of regular coffee (8 dixie cups of coffee grounds) in silver percolator
Make 24 cups of decaf (5 dixie cups of coffee grounds) in yellow percolator
Percolators are located in the kitchen in the bottom right cupboard next to the stove.
Coffee grounds are located in the large blue tub in bottom right corner under the coffee bar
Recipe for coffee: 1 dixie cup of grounds for every 5 measuring cups of water
Plug in 1 percolator in the kitchen, and 1 in the power strip at the coffee bar. (DO NOT PLUG THEM INTO THE SAME OUTLET OR POWER STRIP AS THIS WILL BLOW A FUSE!)

Once both coffee pots have finished perking, you are able to plug both in to the white power strip.

Set Up Coffee Bar: (Most of the items will be found under the coffee bar) From left to right when looking from behind the bar,

Coffee flavorings, coffee creamers, sugar, imitation sugar packets, cinnamon, cappuccino mix, cocoa, hot chocolate packets, hot tea bags, white electric water pot, silver coffee pot, yellow coffee pot, clear juice container (place on top of a towel), clear water container (place on top of a towel), stirrers (one spot on each end of the coffee bar). Place several stacks of coffee cups all along the coffee bar.

Take four “2 liter ice cubes” out of the freezer and begin thawing in a plastic container filled with water, in the kitchen sink. 2 of each of these go in the juice container and 2 go in the water container.

Mix up approx. 2-3 gallons of punch, juice, or ice tea from the mixes that are kept under the coffee bar, for one of the clear containers. (There is a one gallon “Tupperware” container in the bottom left cabinet near the kitchen sink.)

Fill the other clear container with water.

Set up Snack table. Use one of the red tablecloths from under the coffee bar on one 6 ft. table. Place the table in front of the closet near the kitchen.

Use 3-4 clear trays, from under the coffee bar, for snacks.

Choose whatever snacks you would like to use from all that has been set aside in the kitchen from Publix. We have been using cookies and such for Saturdays, and doughnuts and such for Sundays, but use whatever you like. Place snacks on snack table.

You will arrange for an alternate if needed and confirm this with your team leader.

Set out napkins, small paper plates, and or forks if needed (from behind the coffee bar) on the snack table.

Try to keep coffee bar and snack table stocked and cleaned up throughout the evening or morning, as able.

Most everything can stay set-up and or left out from Sat. to Sun. Clean up anything that can be Sat. night.

Sat. night, set up the 2 white coffee pots in the kitchen with water and coffee grounds so that they are ready to be used first thing Sun. morning. One of the white coffee pots is able to be set up on a timer. Use this one for regular coffee. Set timer for 7:00 a.m.

Overall, same system for Sunday. Larger coffee pots should be filled again with 40 cups for Reg. and 24 for Decaf. Continue to use white coffee pots in the kitchen to refill larger ones.

Refill snack trays. Refill clear containers with juice and water and ice again.

After the end of the Sunday service, usually a little after 11:00 a.m. everything can be cleaned up and put away

Use any remaining coffee from the large coffee pots, to fill the 2 white carafes from the kitchen. One with regular coffee and one with decaf for the Presbyterian congregation. These may be left on the coffee bar.

Someone will need to take any tablecloths and towels home to be washed and brought back by the next Sat., by 5:00 p.m.

Empty all of the trash cans from the kitchen and the fellowship hall and replace with new garbage bags. Throw trash in dumpster.

Turn off the lights.
